I tried a Ri/E, but failed miserably.

Trying to do Lightning spammer and Spirit?

For me, Channeling Rit/R worked good. Doing over 150 dmg at one shot in a AoE was cool.

When making builds try to make stuff that "synergies", making maxium use of the primary attribute.

In all honesty, Rt have some of the most powerfull defensive skills in the game, namely spirit transfer, shelter, union, weapon of warding, and a couple others.

Rt are defenitly more powerfull then the Asn, mostly because of the situationnal heals. All you have to do is build a PvP team around spirit transfer, match it with the Mesmer skill Channelling, and you've got it made!

I think I'm gonna try a Monk/Rit for restoration secondary. Either that or a Rit/Monk, which do you guys think would be better?

Your choice: Spawning to keep your spirit alive vs Divine Favor to heal more.

If you're wanting the very strict five energy skill spamming healbot, then go monk... If you were wanting some spice and variety, and challenge, then play a Rit/Mo. Ritualist can play a healer or a protection type of role, but it will require a very different play style than a monk. And If you were planning on being a smiter....then I'd hope you'd reconsider and play a rit!
